New software gives us the Edge!

Idealogy recently completed some work for one of its key accounts, Simple Skincare, using cutting-edge software that isn't even available to the general public yet! During the project we worked alongside our partner Rocktime to link the pages into the CMS for the new site.

All the landing pages at http://www.simpleskincare.com/ were built using a pre-release version of Adobe Edge which is only available if you sign up to the Adobe Developer Program, and as Idealogy like to be at the forefront of web evolution we obviously are.

Adobe Edge is 'event based' software that enables designers/developers to add motion, animation and interaction to content (via emerging web standards such as HTML5, the jQuery framework and CSS3) through a timeline interface.

This was a boon for Simple's American market as it allowed non-static content to be viewed on iPhones and iPads whereas previously use of Flash for this type of thing would have meant that users wouldn't have been able to view it.

We think that this pre-release really shows promise and will definitely be using it for other clients.
