Positive PMT from Idealogy - Idealogy Training Day

Initiation triangles, plants, shapers and implementers – all sound a little like the plot from a Harry Potter movie? Well you’re right, yes it does, but for the Idealogy Project Management Team it’s all in a day’s work – well a day away from work anyway.

Our mission is to offer a lot more than brand, or business development consultancy. A service not just confined to inspirational creative, but to enabling a more effective way of working, for us and for our clients. With a group of six of us, with backgrounds as diverse as it’s possible to achieve, one thing’s for sure – none of us manage a project in the same way…

… Time for a bit of training me thinks!

So we gathered at our favourite venue away from Idealogy HQ (New Forest Hotels’ Forest Lodge in Lyndhurst – did we tell you we helped them with a major rebrand – see here if you’ve forgotten) and set about improving ourselves.

After a good few hours of heated debate, involved discussions and a team building exercise with plastic triangles (no we weren’t sure either!) a process was agreed and a set of behaviours and expectations were identified. All this with the aim of enabling us to offer something more akin to a conjoined, accurate and reliable project management service to our colleagues, and most importantly, to our clients.

Keep your eyes peeled, inside HQ and out of it, as we’re on a mission now; inspired and motivated to do things better, making the most of the people we have, and the qualities we’ve identified in them to enable us to perform better.

And you thought we weren’t such a serious bunch didn’t you? Don’t worry, our increased level of efficiency should allow more cake-time. And you’re all invited… so long as you can complete a GANNT chart for post-cake tea making ahead of your visit.
