The Train is Leaving The Station

2011 is going to be another ambitious ‘learning year’ for Idealogy. January was Appraisal time and the process threw-up a wide range of individual training requirements, from Confidence improvements all the way through to more conventional HTML skills development. So, another full training program begins for a business that takes its Personnel development role very seriously.

But perhaps the most significant step for the business has been a LEADERSHIP AND BEHAVIOURAL residential event, coordinated by MTA Consulting, and attended by the Idealogy Management Team in mid-February, which focused on 21st Century methods for harnessing leadership, team-building, responsibility and behaviour as the energy to drive the business forward.

And it was a fascinating event, with the outcomes becoming the ‘rolling process’ or ‘banner’ that the team is going to march behind as we push forward with new, improved processes and much clearer lines for roles, accountability and authority.

At the end of the 2 days, the top line behaviour markers were identified as: -

1. Find time for Innovation
2. The importance of Trust/Delegation
3. Managing Client and Internal Expectations
4. Team Confidence
5. Managing Feedback
6. Recognition of Achievement

And all of these behaviours feed through to a Business Performance Dashboard which will take on a very ‘now’ perspective with the use of iPads in all of our Meetings Rooms, and the fantastically visual Roambi App, demonstrating, for everyone who wants to see, the progress we are making as a team.

Of course, these kinds of gatherings always highlight other areas that need refreshing or initiating and the key processes we are breaking down are Project Management and Planning and Evaluation. Process Charts and Role Definitions have been completed and published, and key people have had their names put in the ‘for further training’ box.

So, its exciting times for Idealogy, with new behavioural themes, new processes and better defined roles – and the great news is everyone’s on board.

Only one final question - who’s going to be the Ticket Inspector?
